Samantha Bee is throwing a party in DC and it's safe to say President Trump won't be in attendance.
The comedian announced Monday the "first annual 'Not the White House Correspondents' Dinner,'" which will take place on Saturday, April 29 at The Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C. (the same night as the annual WHCD).

"The evening is sure to bring plenty of surprises, music, food, and laughter—and if you're not careful you just might learn something. Specifically, you’ll learn how screwed we'd be without a free press."All proceeds for "Not the White House Correspondents' Dinner" will go to the Committee to Protect Journalists, with celeb attendance at the event to be announced at a later date.
"We're really doing this," Bee continued in the release. "This is not a joke."
The real WHCD is possibly in flux right now, with Bee noting that the group has a challenge ahead of them putting on the event with President Trump."Does [inauguration performer] 3 Doors Down do comedy? I don’t know, maybe they do,” Bee joked to the Times.
Your move, Stephen Colbert.
